Ottawa, ON – The Shikoku Island All Stars shut out the Ottawa Champions 3-0 on Saturday night in Ottawa.
The All-Stars took the lead in the top of the second inning when SS Ryosuke Yotsuya singled home CF Yusuke Matsuzawa and then added to that lead with an RBI single from C Kosei Kawahara in the fourth and a sacrifice fly from DH Yoshihiro Kobayashi in the sixth.
The Champions were held to just four hits in the game, each from a different player. Starting pitcher Noriyuki Kobayashiearned the win as he went 6.2 innings and allowed just three hits and struck out five batters.
