CAN-AM: Champions Beat By Boulders

Ottawa, ON – The Rockland Boulders scored four runs in the third inning and that proved to be enough as they took care of the Ottawa Champions 5-3.

After the first two batters of the top of the third inning were retired, the next six batters each recorded hits and four of them came around to score. DH Steve Nyisztor (pictured), who had a game-high three hits, opened the scoring with an RBI single and RF Joe Maloney and C Marcus Nidiffer followed that with matching RBI doubles. 3B Ryan Fisher added an RBI single to score Nidiffer. On the night, eight of the nine Boulders batters had at least one hit.

For the Champions, C Bryce Massanari and DH Matt Tenaglia each had two hits and LF Mike Schwartz had a pair of RBI.
