CAN-AM: Champs Score Early But Lose 10-6 To Capitales

OTTAWA, ON – The Capitales earned their 52nd win of the season on Sunday, despite the Champions taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning. The Capitales scored six times in the third inning to take a five-run lead. The Champions scored twice in the bottom half of the inning, but each time they continued to grow closer the Capitales scored again eventually winning 10-6. SS Yurisbel Gracial and 2B Maxx Tissenbaum each contributed multi-RBI games in the victory. Gracial collected three hits, drove in three runs and scored once. Tissenbaum contributed two RBIs and scored once. RHP Joseph Maher struggled as he allowed five runs in seven innings, but thanks to his great run support he earned his sixth win. Maher (6-4) allowed nine hits, walked two batters and struck out four.
