CAN-AM: Champions Chrismon Pitches Complete Game To Narrowly Defeated the Capitales

OTTAWA, ON – The Champions narrowly defeated the Capitales on Sunday to take the weekend series by two games to one. A two-run single by 3B Gustavo Pierre put the Champions up 2-1 in the fourth and they would not trail again in the game. RHP Austin Chrismon pitched a complete game in the victory, allowing just two runs on four hits in the outing. Chrismon (7-3) also struck out seven batters and lowered his ERA to 6.16 on the year. DH Maxx Tissenbaum hit a solo home run in the loss. It was his ninth blast of the season. Pierre was 1-4 in the win and his two RBIs were a big boost in giving the Champions their ninth win in ten games.
