CAN-AM: Chrismon Star For Champions Allowing Only One Unearned Run Against Aigles

OTTAWA, ON – The Ottawa Champions began defense of their 2016 championship with a 7-1 victory over the Trois-Rivieres Aigles. Starting pitcher Austin Chrismon was the star for Ottawa tonight as he tossed a terrific seven inning performance. Chrismon allowed only one unearned run on eight hits and struck out seven batters. Offensively, the Champions pounded out 10 hits and was led by 3B Gustavo Pierre who went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a RBI. Ottawa 1B Ricky Oropesa and DH Adron Chambers each chipped in with a pair of hits including a home run by Chambers. For Trois-Rivieres in the losing effort, 1B Zach Mathieu had a 2-for-3 night and drove in the only run.
