NHL: Senators and their fans unravelling after 5-0 lost to Bruins

OTTAWA, ON – Tuukka Rask made 25 saves for his second shutout of the season, and Ryan Spooner had two goals and an assist for the Boston Bruins in a 5-0 win against the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre on Saturday.

Rask is 10-0-1 in his past 11 games and has allowed three goals in his past four.

David Krejci had a goal and an assist in his first game back after missing six with an upper-body injury. Noel Acciari and Patrice Bergeron scored for the Bruins (21-10-6), who have a point in eight consecutive games (6-0-2).

Mike Condon made 29 saves for the Senators (12-17-8), who lost for the 17th time in their past 21 games (4-14-3).

Acciari, Spooner and Krejci scored in the second period to make it 4-0.

Krejci played 16:42 and scored his sixth goal of the season.

The Bruins went 3-for-4 on the power play. Spooner scored to make it 1-0 with the man-advantage at 8:13 of the first period on a rebound of a shot by Krejci that was tipped to him by David Backes.

Acciari scored on a backhand at 3:29 of the second period to make it 2-0, and Spooner scored on a breakaway at 5:38 to make it 3-0.

Krejci scored a power-play goal from beside the left post at 13:39 of the second period, and Bergeron scored one on a tip at 1:11 of the third.
