CAN-AM: Miners Get Revenge In 11th Inning Win Over Champions

OTTAWA, ON –¬†After losses in the first two games of the series, the Miners got revenge on Sunday, picking up a run in the eleventh inning to send them past the Champions. With the Miners holding a 6-3 lead in the seventh, the Champions tied the game with a three-run inning. C Tyler Nordgren got things started with a solo blast. They added another run on a sacrifice fly and RF Steve Brown tied the game with a clutch RBI single. The game remained tied until the eleventh when DH Juan Duran hit a sacrifice fly to propel the Miners to victory. RHP Andrew Brockett pitched 2.1 innings of relief to earn the win and LHP Kris Regas earned his first save of the season, pitching a scoreless eleventh.
