CAN-AM: Ottawa’s Boucher Hits Game Winning RBI On Mom’s Birthday

Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa Champions walked off with a 3-2 win over the Trois-Rivieres Aigles with an RBI single from CF Sebastien Boucher in the bottom of the 10th inning. The run broke up a low-scoring affair. Ottawa scored two in the fourth with a sacrifice fly and RF Chris Winder RBI single. Trois-Rivieres chipped away with a SS Pedro Lopez RBI single an inning later and then another Lopez RBI single in the seventh.

With just five runs allowed between both teams, pitching was solid. Ottawa’s Nick Purdy picked up the win after allowing no runs in the final two innings. Trois-Rivieres’ Edilson Alvarez also deserves praise after pitching 6.2 innings with just two runs allowed.
