CAN-AM: Champions’ Boucher Solo Home Run Heroics Over Capitales

Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa Champions turned 15 hits into seven runs and that proved to be just enough as they took care of the Quebec Capitales 7-6.

All nine Champions in the batting order registered at least one hit in the game and they were led by CF Sebastien Boucher(pictured) who went 4-for-5 with a solo home run and a pair of runs scored. Three Champions – 2B Roberto Ramirez, 1B Jon Talley and SS Daniel Bick – had two hits in the game. For the Capitales, SS Jonathan Malo went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a runs scored and both C Jean-Luc Blaquiere and RF Yuniesky Gurriel added a pair of hits.

On the mound, reliever Jack Fowler picked up the win for working 1.1 innings and allowing two runs on two hits and Alan DeRatt earned the five-out save without allowing a run or a hit.
